English National Brass Band Championship
The English National Brass Band Championship was Established n 2006 in response to requests from bands to stage an English Championships. The inagural championships held at 'The Lowry' complex at Salford Quays proved to be an encouraging success with bands and audience alike. A newly comissioned test piece by Philip Sparke, and innovations such as multimedia presentations left a positive impression on bands, audience, and organisers alike.

In 2007 the English Nationals moved to it's present home at the Guild Hall Preston.
The English Nationals contest is the qualifying contest for selection of England's band representatives to the European Brass Band Championships.

Keith Preston, an instrument technician at Fred Rhodes Ltd., has designed new trophies and has designed 4 new and exciting ‘Cups’ based on a similar design he crafted for Glyn Williams which was made from his old Baritone. Jonathon Webster, MD of Fred Rhodes Ltd. is happy to sponsor these trophies and they add to the new fresh feel of the contest and to the innovations promoted in this event.

ENBBC Championship Trophy
